Amber Byers is an award-winning author and head judge of the Tadpole Press 100-Word Writing Contest. As the founder and CEO of Tadpole Press, Amber delights in celebrating creativity and connecting with a worldwide community of writers.
A member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, her Indian name is Nijgan Bamsid Manidog (One Who Walks with Spirits).
Her book, "Sophie and Spot," won a Gold Medal for Best First Book in the chapter book category from Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. Amber also published a short story, "The Magic Door Origin Story," which is based off of parts of her childhood.
