Memory coach
Johannes is living with a muscular dystrophy which had a deep impact on his physical but also on his mental health when the disease broke through at age 14. While suffering from depressions he discovered memory sports in 2003. He started training and competing in memory competitions around the world.
He became a 2-times World Memory Champion and even did some research on the topic of memory during his PhD in the field of MRI.
Johannes Mallow helps people to master crucial situation which require a good memory such as exams, speeches, job interviews or even in social events when it becomes important to remember people’s names.
Johannes has been featured on multiple TV channels in Germany. Furthermore, he has shown his skills in the China Super Brain Show with more than 100 Mio. viewers as well as in the Vietnamese Super Brain show.
He is a protagonist in the Netflix documentary "Memory Games" which was a co-production between German and American broadcast companies. It aired first in German theaters in 2018 and is now available Amazon Prime Video and Netflix
He gave speeches for companies like the Bosch GmbH but also for multiple huge kid’s audiences in the German "Kinder-University". These audiences vary between 200-500 kids.
Before he started professional memory coaching, he worked as a researcher and engineer at the University of Magdeburg. He finished his PhD theses on the topic of Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and published a study on the topic of memory improvement in 2015.
Before his disease took a huge control over his body, he was playing table tennis in a club and always enjoyed being competitive about it. Memory sports gave him back the chance to compete with others and this time even on a worldwide scale.
