Virginia (“Ginger”) Bowman’s professional career really began one evening at a movie theater in Los Angeles, California. After watching “The Mask” with Jim Carrey in the mid-90s. After leaving the theater she said to her friend, a co-worker at TGI Fridays where they both waited tables – “that’s what I want to do for a living.” The friend replied, “Do you know how to do that?” She said “Not a clue. But I am going to find out how.”
Within a year she had her toe in the door at a multimedia company, moving quickly from intern to art director, launching a career in film and special effects that included a position with one of the leading gaming companies at the time, Final Fantasy publisher Square Enix and later, a coveted position as a technical director at Sony Imageworks. During this time, Ginger had the opportunity to make significant contributions to several award-winning films, including several Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated films, as well as VES award winners such as Spiderman II, The Matix Reloaded, Stuart Little and Stuart Little II, Cast Away, Hollow Man, and more.
Dedication, perseverance, hard work, talent, and laser focus were all ingredients to a successful career, as well as were the many people who helped her along the way to achieve her dreams.
Inspired to give back and help others pursue their dreams, she later pursued a career as a professor at SCAD while she raised her two beautiful children, Preston and Tyler.
Bowman now is owner and founder of Synergetic Media, fast growing marketing company in Alpharetta GA. where she combines her love of storytelling with her passion for helping people. In a time when other companies were going out of business, she transformed a one-time commercial print company into a diversified marketing services powerhouse.
As the company Maestro, Bowman oversees a classically trained team with more than thirty years in media. Understanding the importance of human connections in a fast-paced world, Synergetic Media builds on the power of storytelling (with a sprinkling of Hollywood magic) to create compelling messages that move the proverbial needle for her clients.
