Vuk Vuković, PhD, is the CEO and CIO of the ORCA BASON Fund, and the founding partner of both Oraclum Capital and Oraclum Intelligence Systems. His responsibilities include placing and overseeing the weekly trading positioning based on the BASON signal, whilst following a strict set of rules and guidelines that are part of ORCA’s Systematic trading strategy.

In 2016, Vuković and his business partners Dr. Dejan Vinkovic and Dr Mile Sikic, co-founded Oraclum Intelligence Systems Ltd, the UK-based data company that developed an innovative way of doing surveys and picking out correct signals of behavior, using a combination of wisdom of crowds and network science. Their biggest triumphs were the predictions of Brexit and Trump in 2016, and Biden in 2020 (all within a single percentage point accuracy. As of 2021, Vuković and his team have adapted the methodology to successfully predict weekly market sentiment, and have been doing that ever since.

As an anti-corruption advocate, based on his PhD research on local government corruption, Dr. Vuković also successfully influenced the Croatian Parliament to pass a budget transparency law in 2021, requiring all units of local government to publish all of their spending online, with receipts, proofs of purchases, and signed contracts.
Dr. Vuković holds a PhD from the University of Oxford, and an MSc from the London School of Economics. His PhD has been adapted into the new book, Elite Networks: The Political Economy of Inequality (Oxford University Press), which offers a different perspective on the long-run origins of inequality.
